We have a number of Open golf events for members and visitors to take part in.
Members of Ipswich Golf Club are not eligible for our Ladies’, Seniors’ & Mixed Opens. This gives greater opportunities for visitors to play at Purdis Heath as well as removing any “home” advantage. As the Juniors’ & Men’s Opens are qualifiers for the Suffolk Order of Merit competition, Ipswich GC members are eligible for these 2 competitions.
Upcoming Open Golf Events
Thursday 5th August 2010
Pairs Competition off 3/4 handicap, Stableford scoring, maximum handicap 24.
Age limit 55 & over.
Entrance fee £70 per pair, includes coffee and bacon bap on arrival, two course meal and prizes.

Handicaps limited to Men 24 – Ladies 30
18 Holes, Four Ball Better Ball Stableford (3/4 handicap allowances)
Entrance Fee £75 per pair, includes coffee and sandwiches on arrival, buffet supper and prizes

Individual competition for boys & girls,
Stableford scoring, full handicap.
Age limit: under 18 on 1st Jan 2010.
