Ipswich Golf Club

Visitors are welcome to Ipswich Golf Club. A round of golf on a classically-designed course followed by the convivial delights of a traditional clubhouse atmosphere offering a superb catering service – what more could a golfer wish for?

Please read the following information, below, to ensure your visit runs as smoothly as possible

Bookings

All visitors to the 18 hole Purdis Heath Course are required to contact the Club to make arrangements.

The 9 hole Bixley Course is available to all visitors on “pay & play” basis.

All green fees to be paid in the Pro Shop before play.

Dress Code

Ipswich Golf Club requires both its members and visitors to respect and maintain the standards of a traditional golf club by adhering to a smart standard of dress at all times.  

Purdis Heath Course

Smart conventional golfing attire, including recognised golf shoes, is required.

Denim jeans, collarless shirts (unless recognised golf wear) and combat/cargo shorts are not permitted.

Men’s shirts are to be worn inside trousers or tailored shorts, unless designed to be worn outside.

Socks (of any length) must be worn with shorts.

Bixley Course

Although conventional golf clothing would be preferred a more relaxed dress code is permitted.

In the Clubhouse

Smart casual dress or dry, clean golfing attire is required.

No golf shoes of any type are permitted in the lounge.

Smart denim may be worn, but not torn or soiled jeans.

No caps or cargo shorts are permitted.

Etiquette

Reserved parking is available near the Clubhouse for disabled persons.

Use of mobile phones is not permitted in the Clubhouse.  Mobile phones may be carried on the golf courses but may only be used in a medical or other emergency and/or for the purpose of yardage measurement.

Smoking is prohibited in any part of the Clubhouse, including changing rooms and Professional's shop.

All fairway divots must be replaced and all rubbish places in the bins provided.  Keep a good place of play and be aware of all other golfers and greenstaff.
